Synopsis

Claire’s husband Ethan always prioritizes Emma, the daughter of his late friend, over their own young daughter Lucy. He repeatedly misses Lucy’s birthdays, science fairs and father-daughter activities under the excuse of taking care of Emma, and even claims Emma needs him more than his biological child. Heartbroken by her daughter’s tearful plea to leave their father, Claire secretly books one-way tickets to Seattle and moves away with Lucy without warning.
