Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
AnyShort (“we”, “the service”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use the AnyShort website at anyshort.net.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in with Google
- Email address — used as your account identifier.
- Display name and profile picture — shown in your account.
- Google account ID — to recognise your account on future sign-ins.
We do not receive your Google password and do not access any other data in your Google account (Gmail, Drive, contacts…).
When you use the service
- Watch progress — the films and episodes you are watching, so you can continue across devices.
- Language preference.
- Device identifier — a random string generated in your browser that lets us remember your progress even before you sign in.
- IP address and browser information — processed to set a default language by region and to prevent abuse and attacks.
2. How we use it
- Sync your watch progress across your devices.
- Remember your personal preferences (language).
- Operate, maintain and improve the service.
- Security, fraud detection and abuse prevention.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Sharing of information
We only share information with the infrastructure providers necessary to run the service:
- Google Sign-In — sign-in authentication.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
4. Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in session cookie — keeps you signed in. This cookie is marked HttpOnly so page JavaScript cannot read it.
- Local storage in your browser — stores watch progress and language preference.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers and transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Sign-in sessions are time-limited and expire automatically. While we work to protect your data, no method is completely secure.
6. Your rights
- View and update your account information.
- Sign out at any time.
- Request deletion of your account and related data by contacting us.
- Revoke AnyShort’s access in your Google account settings.
7. How to delete your data
You can ask us to delete your AnyShort account and everything linked to it — watch history, favorites, and the Google or Facebook identity used to sign in.
- Email sawaithawbuppha@gmail.com with the subject Delete my data.
- Send it from the address you signed in with, or tell us which account to delete.
- We confirm by email and delete the account within 30 days.
You can also cut off access yourself at any time: in your Google account under Security → Third-party apps, or on Facebook under Settings → Apps and Websites. That stops future sign-ins; email us if you also want the stored data removed.
8. Children
The service is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
10. Contact
