Nội dung phim

Lila Sterling returns to her hometown with her husband Cedric Thorne for a family visit. Her older sister Zoe Sterling publicly accuses her brother-in-law of improper advances, while their parents pressure Lila to give up her position as Cedric's legal wife and sign over a contractual agreement. Lila knows full well that Cedric is His Grace the Grand Eunuch, a powerful court official, and her sister's claims are completely baseless. It turns out the family mistook Cedric for a wealthy merchant, and planned for Zoe to take Lila's place and move to the capital to live a life of luxury. The parents even colluded with local officials, intending to use a lawsuit to force Cedric to comply. Cedric was already aware of this conspiracy and had made secret preparations. The truth is gradually revealed in the court hall, and the case is tied to long-standing factional conflicts within the imperial court.
