Synopsis

Evan, a shy creator who spent years defending the doomed villain Lucien in a popular fantasy game, accidentally breaks the final ending after refusing to let him die again. Lucien awakens, crosses into the real world, kneels before Evan, and calls him “Master.” At first, Evan thinks he has unleashed a dangerous glitch. But Lucien is not just a character—he remembers every death, every reset, and every time Evan chose him when the story abandoned him. As their bond grows from obedience into mutual love, the game company moves to reclaim Lucien as proprietary property, using harassment, legal threats, system commands, public manipulation, and even memory-erasing protocols to force him back into his tragic ending. Evan, Lucien, and other awakened game characters expose the truth: their pain was designed, monetized, and controlled for profit. Together, they fight for freedom, personhood, and the right to choose their own lives. In the end, Lucien is no longer a villain waiting for an ending—he becomes a real person with a future, and Evan chooses him not as a mission to save, but as the person he wants to live beside.
