Synopsis

My best friend and I married the Karpinski brothers: I wed a fire captain, she a famous surgeon. On my anniversary, I was trapped by my husband's ex-flame while seven months pregnant as the house burned. I called him; he spat: "Stop making scenes. Magda's cat is in danger. I must save a real life!" Lena broke the door down. Her husband also refused to help because he was bandaging that same cat's tail. That day, I lost my baby. "Lena, I want a divorce."
