Synopsis
My best friend and I married the Harper brothers. I married the eldest, a firefighter, she the younger, a celebrity surgeon. On our anniversary, my husband’s first love locked me in a room. Fire broke out. Seven months pregnant, trapped in smoke. I called my husband for help; he barked: 'Stop the drama. False alarms are a crime! Megan's cat is in danger! I must save a real life!' Leah, my best friend, kicked the door down. She begged her surgeon husband to check on me, but he scoffed: 'Megan's cat hurt its tail. It's my duty to treat it.
