Synopsis
My best friend and I married into Harper family. I wed older brother, fire captain; she wed younger, famous surgeon. On wedding day, husband's first love locked me in a room. Fire broke out. Seven months pregnant, trapped, no one came. Thick smoke choked me. Trembling, I begged husband for help. He coldly dismissed me: "Stop creating drama. False alarms are punishable! Megan's cat is in danger, I must save a life!" Leah broke the door down and saved me. She begged her husband for medical help. He responded with icy indifference: "Megan's cat injured its tail, I must treat it. Stop annoying me." That day, I lost my child. Broken, I told Leah I wanted a divorce.
