Synopsis

Hyeon-so, husband of the Phoenix Queen, plots for power with her half-sister Bong-ran. At birth, they swap their illegitimate child with the Phoenix heir. The Queen discovers this and switches them back. 16 years later, Bong-ran abuses her own daughter Jak-ah, mistaking her for the Queen's child, while pampering the Queen's daughter Bong-yo. On the coming-of-age ceremony, the Holy Spirit Mirror reveals the truth. Bong-ran collapses, realizing she tortured her own flesh and blood. Unrepentant, Jak-ah turns dark, uses forbidden arts to devour her clan, and conspires with the Night Wolf King to kill Bong-ran. Disguised as a savior, she seizes military power to resurrect Hyeon-so. The Queen and Bong-yo initiate the final war of blood and vengeance.
