The Stepmom Who Fights Back

Synopsis

Stella Cruz, a fired waitress, is hired by billionaire Ethan Hawthorne to pose as his wife and protect his mute daughter Mia, traumatized by her mother's death. Moving into the mansion, Stella fires an abusive nanny, wins over Ethan's icy mother, and survives attacks from jealous socialite Victoria. A lullaby breaks Mia's silence, and love quietly grows. Victoria's plot to expose the "fake marriage" backfires, and a kiss changes everything. But rival Croft blackmails Stella over a past crime, framing her in a leaked-algorithm scandal—until the real mole is exposed. Desperate, Victoria kidnaps Mia and reveals a secret: Ethan's father, Harold, caused his late wife's death, and Ethan knew all along. Heartbroken, Stella nearly leaves, but Mia's first sentence—"Mom, don't go"—stops her. She confronts Harold, who collapses. Waking up, he decides to turn himself in, on one condition: seeing Ethan and Stella truly together as a family. Stella saves the company, and after Harold's sentencing, she and Ethan hold a real wedding. On a Malibu beach, the whole family builds sandcastles together—love and truth triumphing over secrets.
