Synopsis
In New York high society, 18-year-old Chloe moves into Kingsley Manor with her mother Elena after Elena marries tycoon Arthur Kingsley. Arthur’s son Evelyn blames them for his mother’s death and sees them as fortune hunters. He torments Chloe at every turn, even forcing her into a secret contract that places her under his control. When Julian, Chloe’s kind childhood friend, returns to protect her, Evelyn’s possessiveness turns dangerous. Their confrontation on a yacht sparks a devastating fire. Years later, Chloe rebuilds her life in Paris with Julian, while scarred Evelyn crosses the ocean to stalk her. Chloe gathers proof of his crimes, returns to New York, and helps Julian destroy the Kingsley empire. Evelyn loses everything and faces prison. Chloe marries Julian and leaves her trauma behind.
