Synopsis

The story is set in modern-day Manhattan’s Upper East Side, spanning the extremes of wealthy elites and street homeless. Ella, the true heiress of the Worth family, has humbly loved and supported her fiancé Kyle and his entire family for five years, believing him to be a life-saving benefactor. Kyle, who actually comes from a hospital orderly background, pretends to be a Wall Street rising star, using Ella’s resources to climb the social ladder, while treating the nanny's daughter Lily like a treasure. On the eve of their wedding, Ella overhears Kyle’s plan to completely humiliate her with three ‘gifts’ during the ceremony: making her kneel publicly to uphold female virtues, shaving her head, and handing over their hillslope villa.
