Synopsis
Lenora Rain bears her husband Sir Lucan Dacre’s injuries through a binding pact. When Lucan breaks his oath, the pact shatters. Lenora reclaims her power, and Lucan collapses under the injuries she had taken for him. She discovers Lady Sabine Weir using binding pacts to drain life force from knights’ wives. Lenora gathers the women, helps them withdraw their consent, and destroys Sabine’s ritual. Lucan admits his reputation was built on his wife’s blood, but Lenora refuses to restore their marriage. She walks away with her power whole. The other wives follow, reclaiming their bodies and voices. Lenora leaves the capital alone, living by her own terms.
