Synopsis
Xiao Tianchen, a valiant ace special forces soldier in the modern era, is besieged and daringly proposes to sacrifice his life to kill 30,000 enemy troops. He doesn't perish in battle but instead transmigrates into the body of a 'fool' named Xiao Tianchen in the ancient Great Wei nation. There, he encounters a Great Wei princess being bullied by the Xiongu. Xiao Tianchen intervenes, using his extraordinary martial skills to defeat the brutes, take the Xiongu's Rouran princess hostage, and return to Great Wei. Realizing he must build his own power, he trains soldiers with modern methods. He carries out a 'decapitation strike' special operation, capturing the Xiongu ruler. Along the way, he discovers saltpeter and begins manufacturing firearms. When a five-nation alliance pressures Great Wei, the treacherous Chancellor Cai Song urges surrender. Xiao Tianchen intervenes, thwarting their assassination plots. With his new muskets and cannons, he decimates the coalition army, discovering the mastermind is Prince Zhao Zhen. Ultimately, a desperate Prince Zhao Zhen launches a coup and kills the emperor. Just as he seizes the throne, the returning Xiao Tianchen eliminates him with a pistol, finally quelling the internal turmoil of Great Wei.
