Synopsis
For five years, Esther has been trapped in an abusive marriage. Her husband, Carl, cheated on her, was physically violent, and indirectly caused the death of their daughter. On their fifth wedding anniversary, another violent altercation breaks out—and Carl accidentally dies. In a state of shock, Esther buries his body in the backyard and goes to sleep. The next morning, Carl suddenly stands before her again—alive and acting like the caring, gentle man he once was when they first fell in love. His personality no longer matches the violent husband she buried. Esther begins to question what is actually happening. Has Carl somehow returned from the dead, or has someone replaced him?
