Synopsis
Sun Guixiang and her daughter are cast out by her brother-in-law and his wife. With her daughter burning with fever and encircled by wolves, Sun Guixiang—a woman who had never hunted—takes up her late husband's hunting rifle and braves the deep forest, hunting wild boars to save her child. Honing her skills, she shatters the prejudice that women cannot hunt and becomes the first female hunter of the Greater Khingan Mountains. She unites oppressed women to build a livelihood through deer farming, resolves clan conflicts, shoulders her broken family, and proves the unyielding power of women.
