Synopsis

On a snowy Thanksgiving, young healer Rita lives with her ungrateful uncle William and his cruel family. They exploit her powers, sabotage her feast, and secretly hire a thug to drive her away. Hunted and alone, she is rescued by mafia godfather Richard Genovese and his wife. Discovering their kindness and lack of an heir, they adopt her.
