The Godfather's Guardian Angel

Synopsis

On a snowy Thanksgiving night, Rita, a girl with healing abilities and supernatural powers, stays at her uncle William’s house. She uses her gift to restore the ingredients and prepare a lavish dinner, but her mischievous cousin Jimmy causes trouble and tears the precious scarf left by Rita’s parents. Her uncle’s family is utterly ungrateful. They abuse Rita, secretly hire a homeless man to drive her out, and plan to sell her. With nowhere else to turn, Rita is cornered in a narrow alley, but is rescued at the last moment by Richard, her future guardian, and his wife. With no heir of their own, the couple feels deep sympathy for the lonely Rita and decides to adopt her. Along the way, Rita uses her supernatural powers twice to resolve crises, arousing the vigilance of their rival, Barbarossa. After arriving at the guardian’s estate, Rita uses her unique power to recover the mistress’s lost belongings. When she learns that Arthur, the guardian’s father, is gravely injured and unconscious, Rita heals him and brings the dying old man back from the brink. Rita thus officially becomes part of the Genovese family and uses her power to protect her new family.
