The Girl Who Listened to the Water

Synopsis

Rescued from a tangled fishing net by Caleb Reed, four-year-old Poppy arrives in Moss Bend with an extraordinary gift: she can hear the river speak. Warmly embraced by the impoverished Reed family, she guides them toward hidden harvests, foresees perilous waters, and fosters deep respect for nature. Alongside her protective brother Wyatt and young cartographer Henry, Poppy bravely uncovers illegal industrial pollution threatening their home and helps establish vital river rules. Through pure innocence, courage, and keen intuition, this once-homeless orphan revives the neglected wetlands, unites a divided community, and transforms the struggling riverside town into a thriving, hopeful sanctuary.
