The Girl Who Heard Cracks

Synopsis

13-year-old foster kid Leah Moss hears objects "scream" right before they break. After saving billionaire heir Noah Hartwell from a collapsing bridge, she is taken into his powerful family's estate. Just as she starts to believe she finally belongs, polished socialite Celeste Vale steals Leah's late mother's research, claims the gift as her own, and wages a ruthless campaign to drive Leah out. Through framed scandals, fake relatives, and bridge sabotage, Leah risks losing her hearing to protect the family that chose her. When the truth surfaces, she learns they love her for who she is, not what she can save. Yet a cryptic sigil on a distant lighthouse reveals her mother's secrets—and dangers—are far from over.
