Synopsis
Princess Lina Suleiman becomes a pawn in a political marriage. Sleepy by nature, she cures Emperor Heshan Ghanem's chronic insomnia. Sharing a bed brings them closer. To avoid selecting new concubines, Heshan keeps Lina close, coaching her to act as his favored consort. Learning his painful past, Lina melts the ice around his heart. Heshan defies court opposition to crown Lina Empress. Free from imperial burdens, they share a sweet life: he reads while she sleeps.
