Synopsis

Verna Collins visits daughter Sheryl Vance after childbirth. She meets Ivy Wright, posing as beggar to find wife for father Emerson Wright. Ivy likes Verna, arranges blind date. Emerson thinks Verna is fraud, pretends to be delivery man. Verna remains unfazed. Emerson, charmed by her kindness, marries her. Verna discovers Sheryl lied to block contact with grandson, hiring actor to play her at party. Verna confronts Sheryl, gets accused of fraud. In-laws attack Verna; Emerson intervenes. Dylan family insults Emerson, thinking him delivery man. Wright Group VP arrives, recognizes Emerson, stays silent per instruction. Dylan family loses Wright Group deal, blames Verna.
