Synopsis

Ten-year-old Lily is branded a lifelong liar by her mother, who blindly trusts a "lie detector bracelet." Whenever Lily speaks the painful truth, the bracelet flashes red and delivers agonizing electric shocks. Meanwhile, her twin sister Ruby wears a fake bracelet that always glows green, allowing her to frame Lily for all her misdeeds. Blinded by favoritism, their mother ignores Lily's suffering. On New Year's Eve, Lily begs for help as her appendix ruptures, but her mother dismisses it as faking, locks her away, and leaves to watch fireworks. Ultimately, Lily dies in excruciating pain, writing her final truth in her diary. Three days later, the mother returns to a cold corpse, the diary, and the devastating truth: the bracelet didn't detect lies, but fear and pain, while Ruby's was just a toy. Driven mad by belated guilt, the mother self-harms with the blood-stained bracelet and attacks Ruby, who gets hit by a truck and crippled while fleeing. With the family utterly destroyed, the mother dies clutching the diary, while Lily's soul finally escapes the nightmare, soaring toward ultimate freedom.
