Synopsis
On a stormy night, orphaned survivor Vivinea stumbles into the private banquet of underworld godfather Kai Lorenzo and witnesses a brutal execution. She believes she has seen her own death sentence — until Kai notices the old scar on her wrist and recognizes her as the daughter of someone from his past. Instead of killing her, he confines her inside the Lorenzo estate, turning her into the one person he refuses to let go. Vivinea fights to escape him, but every attempt only reveals a darker truth: someone far more dangerous is hunting her. As the mystery of St. Mary’s Orphanage resurfaces, she learns that she is the sole survivor of a massacre buried beneath lies, fire, and blood. Old photographs, a death list, her father’s letter, her mother’s diary, and a hidden ledger slowly expose the truth — the devil she hates may have been shielding her from a hell much worse than himself. Trapped between hatred and desire, captivity and protection, revenge and redemption, Vivinea transforms from a frightened captive into a woman capable of standing beside Kai in the darkness. When Kai sacrifices his freedom to protect her, Vivinea chooses to fight back, uncovering the sins of the previous generation and proving his innocence. Three years later, Kai walks out of prison. Vivinea waits for him in the sunlight, holding white roses. What began as a prison becomes a home; what began with hatred becomes love; and the devil in the dark becomes her only salvation.
