Synopsis
Samantha, a shy, socially anxious girl, transfers back to her hometown college after years boarding in New York. She meets Alec, the school’s infamous bad boy basketball captain. Behind his flirty, carefree facade lies a broken soul haunted by his mother’s early death and the accidental passing of his best friend Tyler’s girlfriend Katie. Drawn to each other instantly, they navigate tangled conflicts: Kyle, Samantha’s childhood crush, Tyler’s long-standing resentment, and Alec’s jealous ex Regina. A huge twist reveals Kyle is Alec’s half-brother sharing the same late mother. A fake arranged-marriage contract drives them apart; heartbroken Samantha crashes her car and falls into a coma. After waking up, all misunderstandings unravel. Tyler releases his hatred and apologizes, Alec mends bonds with his father and brother. When Samantha gets an offer from a distant top university, they fight over long-distance dreams. Alec finally chooses to follow her. Years later, they build a warm family. The once hollow, self-loathing bad boy is fully healed by Samantha’s unwavering love, with every character finding peace and happy endings.
