Synopsis
In a beastly world of magic, Avery—a feline orphan—is betrothed to Prince Regulus. He breaks the engagement, mocks her heat disorder, and takes a fox mistress. Desperate, Avery mistakes the lion king Caspian (rumored a murderer) for a physician and begs him to induce her heat. After passion, she finds he is her ex-fiancé's father. Caspian blackmails her into engagement. At the banquet, he declares her future queen. Avery fears he'll kill her after bearing his child. Pregnant, she plots escape. Truth emerges: Caspian is innocent. Regulus's treachery is exposed. Caspian proves his love through deadly trials. They rule together as equals, and the wicked fall.
