Spoiling the Fish King I Picked Up

Synopsis

On a storm-drenched Miami night, ruthless billionaire heiress Victoria Ashford finds a handsome amnesiac man named Kael washed up on her private shore. Kael has no identity, no money, and no grasp of modern-day life. Timid and clingy, he has an irrational fear of water. Victoria takes him back to her mansion, supplying him with clothes, a black card, a private suite and a driver, keeping him close like a beautiful pet. What no one knows is that Kael is an amnesiac merman. He must fully submerge in water every 24 hours, or his body will slowly weaken from dehydration. But whenever he touches water, his legs transform into a real fish tail. Hiding from water by day and secretly soaking in the bathtub at night becomes his biggest challenge to conceal his true nature. Victoria’s ex-fiancé, wealthy rivals and suitors all dismiss Kael as a kept boy. They taunt him with names like “pet”, “stray” and “kept man”, humiliate him with money, deliberately splash water at him and play cruel pranks by the swimming pool. Kael endures everything to keep his secret. Time and again, Victoria steps in publicly to defend him, striking back hard at anyone who dares hurt her “pet”.
