Simple Mother's Pure Love

Synopsis

Xu Hua, with the mental age of a five-year-old, lives with her mother-in-law Zhang Guizhen and son Li Zhi. Li Zhi abandons his urban career to care for family. Guizhen arranges a match for Xu Hua; she cries, fearing she cannot care for her son. Li Zhi promises to stay. When Xu Hua destroys wheat by mistake, Li Zhi defends her. During a storm, Xu Hua falls and is bullied by village thug Zhuang Qiang; Li Zhi rescues her. Despite grandfather Li Sihai calling her 'fool', Xu Hua saves food for her hungry son. Li Zhi loses his diploma for business; Zhuang Qiang harasses Xu Hua, who stands up for her son. Li Zhi succeeds, treats her illness, and the family reunites.
