Synopsis

After four years in prison, Maia Watson walks free, framed by her adoptive sister Rosanna and cast aside by the Morgan family. She publicly rejects the Morgans’ staged reunion, then marries Chris Cooper under an arrangement they made in prison. Maia returns to the Morgan estate for her grandmother’s bracelet, sparking a physical showdown in which she makes her independence clear. She later reveals her secret identity as Eileen Vaughn, MCN’s head designer, getting Rosanna and her friend blacklisted. Maia rejects her ex-fiancé Vince Ward, who still tries to control her. At a family dinner, Rosanna fakes an injury to frame Maia, but hidden-camera footage exposes her and forces Jarrod to punish her. Rosanna then sends Maia to a dangerous black market for the bracelet. There, Maia uses her sharp instincts to expose a liquor shop selling counterfeit goods, impressing powerful underworld figure Maxwell Payne, while Chris secretly watches.
