Synopsis

Nathan Wright secretly suffers a permanent injury after saving a drowning boy, Ethan Foster. Five years later, Nathan marries Ethan's mother, Caroline Foster, who has no idea Nathan is the savior her son speaks of. Ethan despises Nathan and his daughter, Grace Wright. He ruthlessly bullies Grace, making her drink toilet water and triggering her milk allergy. Caroline and her mother, Margaret Foster, blindly defend Ethan. Nathan gets a job to gain independence but still faces financial control from Margaret. Pushed to the brink, a heartbroken Nathan demands a divorce. Just then, Ethan discovers Nathan is the savior who rescued him. He chases after Nathan but gets hit by a car. Caroline finally learns the truth. Guilt-ridden, Ethan begs for forgiveness upon waking. Margaret softens, and the family heals. Ethan and Grace finally bond, proving that a peaceful family prospers.
