Synopsis

Seven years ago, wealthy heiress Clara Whitmore hid her true identity for love and married Daniel Carter, a man from an ordinary background. She secretly helped build his career and gave birth to their daughter, Lily. But Daniel never forgot his first love, Vanessa. After her divorce, Vanessa returned with her daughter, Sophie, and came back into his life. Meanwhile, Daniel had delayed paying construction workers for months. Desperate and with nowhere else to turn, a worker named Marcus kidnapped Lily and Sophie and took them to a rooftop. When Daniel arrived, he rushed to rescue Sophie, the daughter of the woman he loved, and left Lily behind. In the chaos, Lily fell from the high-rise building. It was not until Lily’s funeral that Daniel finally realized the unbearable truth: by choosing Sophie and leaving his own daughter behind, he had caused Lily’s death with his own hands.
