Synopsis

Karen is a housewife married to Tom, a wealthy lawyer. While she is away, their house catches fire and their five-year-old daughter, Anna, suffers a severe fall and is close to death. Merry, a brave passerby, accompanies the firefighters taking Anna to the hospital. Fire chief Bob drives the truck. They must get the little girl to the ER for emergency surgery. En route, the truck hits the car of Karen, who was returning from her lover's house. She demands a kneeling apology and payment for damages, wasting precious time. Merry, paramedic Eve, and kind witnesses try to convince her to move. But Karen stubbornly refuses, unaware the truck is carrying her own daughter.
