Synopsis

Housewife Karen enjoys a life of luxury thanks to her successful attorney husband, Tom. While she is out sneaking around with her secret lover, a fire breaks out at her home, leaving her five-year-old daughter, Anna, critically injured. Good Samaritan Merry accompanies the ambulance, led by Fire Captain Bob, rushing Anna to the hospital for emergency surgery. However, the ambulance collides with Karen's car as she is heading home. Blinded by rage and desperate to cover her tracks, Karen blocks the emergency vehicle, demanding apologies and damages. Neither Merry nor paramedic Eve can reason with her. Karen has no idea that the life she is sabotaging is that of her own daughter.
