Synopsis
Cora, the first golden-tailed mermaid queen, is betrayed by Caden, a freshwater fish spirit she saved, who steals her heart and leaves her for dead. Amnesiac and transformed, she is found by Mila's family. Mila swaps her own silver-tailed egg for Cora's golden-tailed egg. Cora plays along, nurturing Mila's daughter Sierra with forbidden magic while creating Lila, an artificial being, as a vessel for vengeance. At the coronation, Cora exposes Caden's fraud and Mila's betrayal. Revenge takes a toll as Lila kills the antagonists but dies herself. Cora ultimately rejects her throne to roam the seas, seeking redemption from the cycle of hatred.
