Synopsis
Marianne Whitlock was born into one of America’s leading pharmaceutical dynasties. To preserve her husband Conrad Mercer’s dignity, she withdrew from group management and devoted herself to their family and daughter, Hope. Backed by Marianne’s father, Conrad became CEO of Whitlock Therapeutics. After fifteen polished years of marriage, Marianne suspected an affair and secret embezzlement, but stayed silent, believing Conrad would never hurt his biological daughter. That faith died when Hope found Conrad with Bianca Rowe. Bianca slapped Hope and crushed her hand under a stiletto. Hope begged her father for help; Conrad coldly told her to go home. Seeing the handprint on her daughter’s cheek and her injured hand, Marianne realized her patience had only emboldened them.
