My Rescue Captain Husband Chose to Save Her Over Me

Synopsis

A brutal, catastrophic earthquake flattens their residential neighborhood, and newlywed Lin is trapped under unstable rubble, her leg pinned beneath a heavy concrete beam as she clings to the last fraying threads of consciousness. Her husband Ethan, the beloved local fire rescue team captain, is the very first responder to arrive on site. Lin calls out his name with every last scrap of strength, fully confident she will be the first person he pulls to safety. To her utter, disbelieving shock, Ethan makes a split-second on-site command, diverting all his team’s top-priority rescue efforts to the half-collapsed building next door, where his long-lost ex-girlfriend is trapped. Lin is left stranded under the debris for six full hours with no water, no first aid, no lifeline at all. By the time a bystander mentions Ethan’s own wife is still unaccounted for under the rubble, permanent, irreversible damage has already been done to her body.
