Synopsis

Selling a Gatling Gun Firework, Brooke Jennings runs into Lord Rhodes, head of the Rhodes Family, being ambushed. She fires the firework at the assassins, rescuing Lord Rhodes. Brooke's betrothal is with Lord Rhodes's nephew, Quentin Rhodes, faking his death to escape marriage. Lord Rhodes cancels his nephew's engagement and proposes to Brooke: 'Wifey, to repay you for saving my life, I will devote myself to you. Outside, I am Lord Rhodes, the king of the underworld; at home, I am your slave.'
