My Husband, the Mermaid

Synopsis

Blamed for years of infertility, Mingyue suffers cruelty from her husband, Zhou Shen, who vanishes after demanding a divorce. Desperate, she visits the Mermaid Shrine with her best friend, Wanning, to pray for a child. After getting pregnant, Wanning turns hostile. Mingyue returns to find the shrine deserted, only to discover Zhou Shen deep in a cave, transformed into a merman. The ugly truth emerges: Zhou Shen was the infertile one who framed his wife, cheated with Wanning, and dumped her too. When the shrine keeper's daughter tried to intervene, Zhou Shen assaulted her, driving her to suicide. In retribution, the keeper turned him into a monster. Though rescued, Zhou Shen ends up paralyzed, while Mingyue forgives the grieving mother.
