My Grumpy Captain, My Sunshine Girl

Synopsis

A 70-episode youth healing drama. Ex-football captain Julian, paralyzed three years ago by his abusive coach Corey, lives in bitter isolation at Blackwood Manor. Orphan girl Leanna saves him from a rooftop suicide. Julian's mother Mary adopts optimistic Leanna to heal her broken son. Using quirky roleplays and endless chatter, Leanna melts Julian's cold exterior. When bully Miller attacks Julian at elite academy, Julian stands for the first time in years to protect her. Together, they uncover Corey's past sabotage. Supported by Leanna's biscuit-reward rehabilitation, Julian secretly regains his ability to walk. Entering international match as substitute, he overcomes Miller's dirty tactics to score championship-winning goal. Corey's drugging scheme gets exposed to police. At victory ball, Julian shares first dance with Leanna in garden, celebrating new life and warm family bonds under moonlight.
