Synopsis
For five years, Esther has been trapped in an abusive marriage. Her husband, Carl, cheated on her, was physically violent, and indirectly caused their daughter’s death. On their fifth wedding anniversary, during yet another brutal confrontation, Carl dies by accident. In shock, Esther buries his body in the backyard and goes to sleep. The next morning, Carl appears before her again, alive and acting like the loving, gentle man she fell for years ago. His personality no longer matches the abusive husband she buried. Esther begins to question what is happening. Has Carl somehow returned from the dead, or has someone taken his place?
