MARKED BY THE MAFIA QUEEN

Synopsis

Harper Reed is a highly skilled scar tattoo artist. Her husband Ethan uses her studio to launder money, forges a two-million-dollar debt in her name, and sells her skills to Sloane Kane, the feared queen of the underground Kane empire. On her first night in Sloane's private studio, Harper sees a half-undressed Sloane, the damaged black rose mark across her waist, and a thirty-session contract she never signed. Sloane can intimidate the entire underworld but loses control when anyone touches her scar. Only Harper can make her stop—and only Sloane truly hears Harper say “no.” When Ethan lures Harper back and crushes her right hand, Sloane smashes through the rolling shutter to save her, then stops the moment Harper tells her to. Harper realizes this dangerous woman respects her more than her husband ever did. Their relationship grows from forced cooperation into genuine intimacy. Sloane cancels the debt, returns the studio deed, and gives Harper the right to leave—only for Harper to stay freely. Meanwhile, Sloane’s cousin Vivian forges a succession mark with stolen designs, challenges control of the Kane Legacy Trust, and activates a thirty-day clause requiring Sloane to register a consort and prove a biological heir. Sloane refuses to use Harper’s body for power. Free from debt and coercion, and with independent medical counsel, Harper volunteers to carry embryos created from Sloane’s eggs. Vivian attacks the embryo bank, kidnaps Harper, and seizes the rest.
