Synopsis

After dying from pulling an all-nighter, materialist college student Nia Kang transmigrates into a world of Revenants and becomes a trainee Revenant Slayer. To find a way home, she is sent to Northwood High to detect resentful energy. Her old detector explodes from the intense energy, and after she calls for backup, her communication device suddenly fails. Tia Larkin from The Warden's Bureau deliberately conceals the danger and delays backup, hoping to use the Revenants to eliminate Nia Kang and secure a promotion. Trapped on campus, Nia is pursued by eerie ghost students and hides in the top-floor music room. There, she learns of two Revenants: Julian Locke, who jumped to his death after being bullied, and Caleb Gordon, who was poisoned for exposing a dark secret. She complains about the cliché setup. A piano starts playing behind her. She swoons over the boy playing, only to realize he has no feet and is the Revenant, Julian Locke. Angered by her complaints, Julian unleashes a dark aura, and countless bloody hands emerge from the walls. On the verge of death, Nia's overwhelming will to survive and her infatuation energy cause her to be forcibly bound to a Romance Strategy System. Time freezes, and the crisis is temporarily averted.
