Synopsis

Natalie's scheming grandmother and sister force her to marry Rhett, a country farmer. He is a single father raising his mute daughter, Allie. Natalie is not welcomed with open arms in her new environment; both Allie and their neighbor avoid her. Over time, Natalie discovers that the neighbor is actually abusing Allie. A bond forms between Natalie and Allie, growing stronger when Allie speaks for the first time to save Natalie. But just as Natalie begins to settle in, new troubles arise. Allie is bullied at school, and Natalie gets caught in conflicts involving both her old and new families. She vows to protect her hard-won love and the family she has built.
