Synopsis
Hannah is trapped under the thumb of her cruel aunt, Margaret. Desperate to escape a forced marriage to merchant Holloway, she hastily weds Gabe. Unbeknownst to all, Gabe is actually Gabriel, the future Lord of Heaven. Summoned back to crush a celestial rebellion, he vows to return in seven years. Left alone, Hannah raises their twin children. When Gabriel finally descends, he finds his family labeled heretics by Cyrus, Margaret, and Holloway, awaiting execution. To protect his loved ones, Gabriel exposes the villains' crimes. Defying sacred heavenly laws and angels' pleas, he renounces his divine throne to remain with the mortals he loves.
