Synopsis

Evelyn, a top European war correspondent (alias "Night Owl"), abandons her career to marry Colonial Major Arthur. She endures cold violence, her stepdaughter's disdain, and her cousin Lina's schemes. After discovering Arthur's infidelity and Lina's betrayal, Evelyn secures a divorce and returns to the Balkan front as "Night Owl." Her investigative reports on arms trafficking and colonial atrocities captivate Europe. Supported by media mogul Edmund, she thrives. Arthur, realizing his loss, attempts to win her back but fails. Lina is exposed for espionage and arms trading, landing in prison. Arthur dies in battle, leaving a repentant letter. A year later, Evelyn adopts the orphan Bella, continuing her mission as a strong, independent voice for truth.
