Synopsis
Since birth, Lily (10) was branded a liar by her mother, who trusted a lie-detector bracelet. Whenever Lily was honest—hungry, hurt, or innocent—the bracelet turned red and shocked her cruelly. Conversely, her twin, Ruby, wore a fake bracelet that stayed green, even when framing Lily for theft and vandalism. Blinded by the fake device and favoritism, Mother confined Lily, ignored her suffering, and pampered Ruby. On New Year's Eve, Lily's appendix ruptured. She begged for help as her bracelet glowed bright red; Mother dismissed it as a tantrum, locked her away, and left for fireworks. Lily died in agony, recording the final truth in her diary before her body stiffened. Three days later, Mother found the body, the diary, and the bracelet's cruel secret: it detected fear and pain, not lies. Ruby's green bracelet was just a toy. While wearing the blood-stained bracelet, Mother was shocked repeatedly as the red light exposed her own lies. Haunted by guilt, she went insane, self-mutilated, and attacked Ruby, leading to Ruby being hit by a truck and paralyzed. Father lost everything and died in despair. Finally, Mother passed away clutching Lily's diary, while Lily's spirit escaped the nightmare—no pain, no lies, only freedom.
