Synopsis

For thirty years, Iris and her husband Tom steadfastly guarded the lighthouse by the sea, diligently keeping its light a guide for passing ships. After Tom retired, he secretly transferred the lighthouse to a developer who planned to demolish it to build a resort. Iris, unwilling to let the lighthouse she had cared for for so many years disappear, refused to yield to threats and inducements. She spoke out online, and her story quickly spread, attracting support from netizens, fishermen, and students. A live-streamed event that lasted all night drew hundreds of thousands of viewers, and the immense public pressure forced the developer to abandon the demolition plan. The century-old lighthouse was designated a protected structure, and Iris officially became its keeper. Tom, filled with remorse, eventually passed away. As time passed, the aging Iris relinquished her responsibilities, passing the torch to her young successor, Liam. Forty years of unwavering dedication came to an end, but the lighthouse's light will continue to illuminate the way home.
