Synopsis

With an injured leg, Zhao Jianguo travels to the city for a medical checkup and plans to stay at his daughter Zhao Yanan's home. It happens to be the joint birthday of Yanan's mother-in-law, Wu Xiufang, and her own mother, Zhang Lan. Looking forward to a warm family reunion, Yanan is instead met with coldness and relentless bullying from her wicked mother-in-law. To make matters worse, her husband Xu Zhenyuan's lack of understanding completely breaks her heart. Pushed to her absolute limit, Yanan snaps: "This birthday feast can go to hell!" In a fit of despair and rage, she flips the dining table and demands a divorce right at her mother-in-law's birthday banquet.
