Synopsis
Elena Parker worked as a contract employee for three full years at the private client center of Caldermere Bank in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. She had only an associate degree, no prominent family background or connections in the financial world, and at home she still had a mother who needed long-term medication and a younger brother attending university. In order to keep her salary of thirty-two hundred dollars a month, she endured a heavy workload and long-term exploitation by management. Over those three years, relying on her professional ability and her sense of responsibility toward clients, she brought in one hundred billion dollars in deposits for the private client center, accounting for two-thirds of the entire center's deposit scale, yet she never received a formal position, commissions, or performance bonuses approved by headquarters.
