Synopsis

A biased father-in-law gives all five properties to his younger son Zhao Tao, leaving nothing for the elder son Zhao Yi. As a legal director at a foreign firm, daughter-in-law Su Xuan sets a rule: whoever inherits the wealth bears full responsibility for elder care. Outraged, the in-laws team up with the younger son's family to slander her and disrupt her workplace. Su Xuan fights back methodically and discovers the family's startup capital was actually the 200,000 compensation payout from her parents' fatal car accident. Armed with signed IOUs and audio recordings, she takes them to court and recovers over 2 million. Zhao Yi sees his family's true greed and cuts ties. The in-laws lose their properties in a judicial auction while the younger son flees with the cash, leaving his parents with nothing. Su Xuan and Zhao Yi build a happy life together and open a law firm to protect other women from exploitative families.
