Synopsis
Lin Wan suffers from stage four kidney cancer and is in urgent need of a kidney transplant. Her husband Chen Feng, chief of nephrology, secretly reassigned her designated kidney source to the mother of his subordinate, Zhou Yue. When confronted, Chen Feng told her to endure it. Zhou Yue’s confession revealed even the kidney donated by Lin Wan’s late mother was illegally transferred by Chen Feng. Devastated, Lin Wan nearly lost her life but regained hope after receiving a new kidney. Chen Feng was arrested for medical resource abuse, lost his license, and was sentenced to five years. Zhou Yue escaped punishment. Lin Wan divorced him immediately. Upon release, Chen Feng broke into Zhou Yue’s residence, risking further legal trouble.
